Grab a pen, notebook, and your favorite beverage as we unpack some myths and tools we can use to better support our kiddos' mental health journey.

Episode Notes

Children oftentimes get a bad wrap. We tell them they've got ‘the easy life’ and how many of us adults would love to switch places with them. The problem, however, is that children go through tough times, too. However, many don't take their issues seriously.

Quotes

"When we show a lack of concern for the things that matter to them, it’s easier for them to believe the lies Satan whispers." - JaQuette Gilbert

"If you're constantly hearing, "toughen up" but you're not told what "toughen up" means, a lot could get lost in translation. You can end up having a kid suffer by developing faulty beliefs." - JaQuette Gilbert
